Al-Mustaqbal University Hosts the First College of Engineering Forum to Promote Sustainable Development.

The College of Engineering at Al-Mustaqbal University organized today the First College Forum under the title “Engineering and Its Role in Achieving Sustainable Job Opportunities”, with the participation of a distinguished group of academics, specialists, and representatives of relevant institutions, attended by a number of faculty members and students of the college. The forum commenced with a speech by the President of the University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, followed by a speech by the Dean of the College of Engineering, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Shaker Majdi. Both emphasized the importance of aligning educational outcomes with labor market requirements and enhancing the role of the college in preparing engineers capable of contributing to sustainable development. The forum included a series of scientific lectures addressing vital topics, including climate change, applications of artificial intelligence in the medical field, and sustainable architecture, in addition to presenting the engineering skills required in the modern labor market. The sessions featured speakers from both inside and outside the university. The forum also witnessed distinguished student contributions that reflected the creativity and innovation of the college students, covering various fields, including the waste recycling project presented by the Department of Civil Engineering. The activities concluded with a recognition ceremony honoring the participants and supporters, affirming the college’s commitment to supporting scientific activities that contribute to developing students’ skills and enhancing their readiness for the labor market. This forum comes within the framework of the College of Engineering’s pursuit of quality assurance and academic accreditation standards through supporting applied scientific activities and strengthening communication with the community and labor market institutions.
