The College of Education at Al-Mustaqbal University organized an awareness activity on positive thinking skills and their relationship with language, under the support of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Roudhan Salman. The event took place on Wednesday, May 4, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., in Hall (6) on the ground floor of the Health Technologies College building. The activity was conducted by the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, under the supervision of the Head of the Unit, Professor Dr. Thanaa Baha Al-Din Abdullah, with the participation of Assistant Lecturer Shadan Salah Shabar, a specialist in Arabic language. She delivered a scientific lecture addressing the fundamental relationship between thinking and language, as well as methods for developing cognitive thinking skills based on spoken language and promoting its positive use within the university environment. The activity covered several key topics, including the concept of language, linguistic and cognitive development, and the role of the environment in language acquisition from an early age. It also discussed major theories explaining the acquisition of both spoken and non-verbal language, in addition to types of thinking and their essential skills. This activity targeted first-year students in the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences, aiming to enhance their scientific thinking abilities and raise awareness of the importance of language in shaping human and social relationships in daily life.
