Tuesday, May 5, 2026 – The Head of the Department of Medical Laboratory Techniques at the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Al-Mustaqbal University, Lecturer Dr. Dhulfiqar Ahmed Hamza, held a Department Council meeting within the department premises at 10:30 AM to discuss several academic and administrative matters related to the educational process. The meeting was attended by faculty members of the Department Council, where the current academic performance was reviewed, study plans were followed up, and mechanisms for improving the educational process in line with quality assurance and accreditation standards were discussed. Several key topics were addressed, including reviewing student results, analyzing pass rates, identifying major challenges facing both students and faculty members, and proposing solutions aimed at enhancing academic performance. The discussion also covered preparations for final examinations, emphasizing the importance of adhering to examination regulations and organizing work within halls and laboratories to ensure smooth and accurate implementation. In addition, the council discussed the importance of updating curricula to keep pace with modern scientific developments in laboratory technologies, as well as strengthening the practical and applied aspects of student learning. During the meeting, the Head of the Department emphasized the importance of teamwork and cooperation among faculty members, stressing the need to adhere to established plans and implement council recommendations to achieve academic excellence. The meeting also included proposals and initiatives aimed at supporting scientific and research activities within the department, as well as activating the role of committees in monitoring implementation and continuously evaluating performance. This meeting is part of the regular sessions held by the Department Council to enhance the quality of education and improve academic and administrative performance, in line with the university’s vision of excellence and leadership.
