As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance practical aspects and integrate theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience, the College of Agricultural Technologies at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a practical lecture in the Microbiology Laboratory on Saturday, 2 May 2026. The session targeted first-year students with the aim of developing their laboratory skills and strengthening their understanding of fundamental applications in this field. The practical lecture included a detailed explanation of the basic principles of working in the microbiology laboratory, including the identification of laboratory equipment and methods of its use, techniques for sample preparation and slide preparation, as well as practical applications in the examination and diagnosis of certain microorganisms. The lecture was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Jamil Al-Ta’i and Ms. Qut Al-Nada Fawzi Mohammed, who provided a comprehensive scientific explanation supported by direct practical demonstrations, while clarifying laboratory procedures in accordance with approved scientific standards. The session witnessed active engagement from students, who showed great interest in the practical content, which contributed to enhancing their skills and increasing their awareness of the importance of laboratory work in the field of microbiology. This lecture is part of a series of scientific activities organized by the College of Agricultural Technologies aimed at improving students’ academic and practical competencies, and preparing qualified graduates capable of meeting the requirements of their specialization and the labor market according to solid scientific foundations.
