The Department of Artificial Intelligence Engineering Technologies at the Engineering Technical College organized a scientific course titled “Artificial Intelligence Under Legal Scrutiny,” under the patronage of the Dean of the Engineering Technical College, Assistant Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, and in cooperation with the Continuing Education Center. The course was held on 30/04/2026 and 01/05/2026 in Hall BC001 Abdul Razzaq Al-Issa. The course included two sessions: the first was conducted online, while the second was held in person. It was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Seham Aliwi Taama and Assistant Lecturer Wisam Adnan Aliwi, with the participation of the department’s staff and students. The course covered multiple topics focusing on the legal aspects associated with artificial intelligence technologies and the mechanisms for dealing with them in light of rapid technological advancement. The course aimed to raise the level of legal awareness among participants and enhance their understanding of the challenges and opportunities associated with the use of artificial intelligence, contributing to the achievement of sustainable development goals, particularly in the areas of quality education and innovation. These activities come as part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s efforts—ranked first among private universities in Iraq—to develop the scientific and cognitive skills of its students and staff.
