Al-Mustaqbal University announced a significant advancement in its internationalization efforts by joining a number of prestigious international organizations and institutions, as part of a strategy aimed at strengthening its global academic standing and adopting international standards in education and quality. This achievement was realized through the establishment of broad academic and research partnerships with international institutions in the fields of higher education, sustainability, and quality. The university joined the International Association of Universities (IAU) in France, the European Federation for Education (FEDE) in Switzerland, the Eurasian Universities Union (EURAS) in Turkey, and the Mediterranean Universities Union (UNIMED) in Italy, contributing to expanding prospects for scientific cooperation and enhancing international academic exchange. In support of the Sustainable Development Goals, the university has also joined several global initiatives, including UNESCO’s Greening Education Partnership, the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE), and the Higher Education Sustainability Initiative (HESI), reflecting its commitment to quality education and climate action. Additionally, the university obtained recognition from the Council for Higher Education Accreditation – International Quality Group (CHEA-CIQG) in the United States, reaffirming its adherence to global academic quality standards. This internationalization effort also extends to the community dimension through joining the SDG Accord and activating the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI), along with cooperation with humanitarian and health organizations, thereby strengthening its role in serving society at the global level. For his part, the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, emphasized that this achievement reflects the university’s commitment to delivering education that combines national identity with global standards, noting that such partnerships contribute to improving higher education outcomes and advancing research efficiency. This progress embodies the university’s vision of transforming into an active global academic institution contributing to the achievement of sustainable development goals through the advancement of education, innovation, and digital transformation.
