With confident steps toward a promising career, the Building and Construction Engineering Techniques Department at the Engineering Technical College organized a specialized workshop designed to bridge the gap between graduation and employment, titled: "Job Interview Arts and Professionalism" Presented by Asst. Lect. Sally Seelan Hussein. Workshop Highlights: The workshop shed light on the core skills that make an engineer an ideal candidate during personal interviews, focusing on: Mental and Professional Preparation: How to research construction company cultures and analyze job requirements before the interview. Body Language and Emotional Intelligence: Effective communication skills and making a first impression that reflects confidence and professionalism. The STAR Technique for Model Answers: Practical training on structuring logical responses to technical and engineering situational questions. Expectation Management: How to intelligently negotiate tasks and responsibilities and answer pivotal questions with precision. This workshop is part of the department’s commitment to empowering its graduates and equipping them with soft skills, which are as vital as academic knowledge in today's competitive engineering environment.
