The Technical Engineering College reinforces practical education through a field visit to Burj Babel Scientific Studies and Research Company The Technical Engineering College at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a distinguished scientific trip to Burj Babel Scientific Studies and Research Company in Babil Governorate on Tuesday, April 28. The visit was held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Academic and Scientific Supervision, and Prof. Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, Dean of the Technical Engineering College, in cooperation with the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Division. This initiative aimed to promote applied education and link academic knowledge to labor market needs. The academic delegation included Prof. Dr. Iman Abdulaziz, Head of the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Division; Dr. Barq Ali Abdulhadi, Rapporteur of the Building and Construction Engineering Technologies Department; several faculty members from the department; and a select group of students from various academic stages. The delegation was received by Prof. Dr. Samer Abdulamir Al-Mashhadi, the authorized director of Burj Babel, who emphasized the importance of such visits in developing students’ field skills and strengthening the integration between theoretical and practical aspects, thus preparing qualified engineering cadres capable of meeting labor market requirements. The program included a field tour inside the company’s laboratories, where students explored the latest devices and technologies used in engineering tests, particularly in construction materials and soil laboratories. They participated in practical experiments and received thorough scientific explanations from specialists, which enhanced their applied understanding and reinforced scientific concepts. The trip concluded on a positive note, reflecting the depth of cooperation between the university and applied institutions, supporting the Sustainable Development Goals, especially Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure). This activity comes as part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s strategy—ranked first among private universities in Iraq—aimed at preparing professionally qualified students capable of actively engaging in the labor market and achieving academic and professional excellence.
