The Department of Life Sciences at Al-Mustaqbal University held a scientific workshop on Sunday, الموافق 26/4/2026, titled “Iraqi Women Between Marginalization and Political Empowerment.” The event took place in the Medical Building under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Duha Salah Sahib, with the attendance of a number of students. The workshop aimed to shed light on the reality of Iraqi women and the challenges they face, particularly in the political sphere, while discussing ways to enhance their role and empower them to actively participate in decision-making. The workshop covered several key topics, including the concept of political empowerment and the importance of supporting women's participation in public life. It also addressed the major obstacles limiting their role, while presenting ideas and perspectives to strengthen their presence in society. The event witnessed notable engagement from attendees through questions and active discussions, contributing to enriching the dialogue and raising awareness about the importance of women’s role in societal development.
