Al-Mustaqbal University students represented Iraq in a distinguished scientific and cultural journey to the Republic of Turkey, specifically to Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University ALKU, as part of the international cultural exchange training program titled “Green Steps for Youth – A Shared Future”, held from April 24 to May 2, 2026, in the city of Alanya, Turkey. The participation came within the framework of Al-Mustaqbal University’s efforts to enhance students’ international skills, broaden their academic and cultural perspectives, and provide them with meaningful opportunities to engage with global educational environments. The program brought together young participants in an interactive setting aimed at promoting environmental awareness, sustainability concepts, and cross-cultural communication between Iraqi and Turkish youth. During the program, the university delegation took part in activities focused on exchanging experiences, developing youth leadership skills, and discussing practical approaches related to sustainability and environmental responsibility. The participation also reflected the ability of Al-Mustaqbal University students to represent their university and country in a positive and honorable manner at international academic events. This journey was not merely a student trip, but an important step toward strengthening international cooperation, building bridges of cultural understanding, and empowering students to contribute effectively to global discussions on sustainability and shared future challenges. The participation aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, SDG 13: Climate Action, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through supporting international learning opportunities, promoting environmental awareness, and encouraging cooperation between educational institutions.
