Digital culture has become a defining feature of modern society as rapid technological advancement and widespread internet usage have transformed the way individuals interact, communicate, and construct their identities in an increasingly interconnected world, digital culture refers to the values, behaviors, and practices that emerge from the use of digital technologies, social media platforms, and online environments, which play a significant role in shaping both individual and collective identities, as individuals are now able to create and present digital identities that reflect their interests, beliefs, and social affiliations, while exposure to diverse global cultures enhances openness and contributes to the formation of multidimensional identities, however, this transformation also presents challenges, including the blurring of boundaries between real and virtual identities, increased social comparison, and potential loss of cultural authenticity due to the influence of globalized digital norms, digital communication also affects language, social interactions, and behavioral patterns, potentially reducing face-to-face engagement and altering traditional forms of identity formation, despite these concerns, digital culture can be leveraged positively to promote cultural heritage, encourage creativity, and strengthen social awareness when used responsibly, ultimately, the impact of digital culture on identity depends on the balance between embracing technological advancement and preserving cultural values, highlighting the importance of digital awareness and responsible engagement in shaping a stable and authentic sense of identity in the digital age.
