The College of Engineering Technology at Mustaqbal University, the leading private university in Iraq, held a specialized workshop titled "Institutional Accreditation: Curriculum Standards (Standard 8)" on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. Held under the patronage of the Dean, the workshop saw the participation of several academic leaders and faculty members.
The workshop, presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Hassan Hamad Ali, Director of the Studies and Planning Division and Head of Measurement and Evaluation at the college, provided a detailed presentation on the core pillars of institutional accreditation for higher education institutions in Iraq. Key focus areas included analyzing skills and academic achievement, explaining accreditation fundamentals and steps, and reviewing the elements of Standard 8 (Curricula), its indicators, objectives, and the methodology for preparing documentary evidence.
The event witnessed a distinguished attendance of heads of scientific departments, heads of divisions and units, faculty members, and supporting staff. The session featured in-depth discussions that enhanced a shared understanding of quality requirements. This workshop is part of the ongoing preparations to fulfill institutional accreditation and quality standards, aligning with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education).
