The President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdy, as part of the high-level Iraqi ministerial delegation that visited the Arab Republic of Egypt, led by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Scientific Research Affairs, Prof. Dr. Haider Abdul Zahid, on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, with the aim of strengthening frameworks for joint academic cooperation and activating strategic scientific partnerships between the two sisterly countries.This participation aimed to promote the principles of international openness and keep pace with the digital revolution in higher education, as well as to develop research skills and exchange academic expertise, in line with the requirements of quality and excellence in building bridges of knowledge for the 2025–2026 academic year, and to achieve sustainable development goals through solid international partnerships.The tour included important strategic stops, beginning with a visit to Al-Azhar University to explore avenues for academic integration, followed by a detailed review of the “Joint Graduate Studies” programs with Mansoura University; where the pioneering and fruitful collaboration between Al-Mustaqbal University and Mansoura University in the Master of Law program was commended, marking the first constructive cooperation of its kind between Iraq and Egypt, with an emphasis on expanding cooperation in modern and rare disciplines in accordance with international quality standards.The events included extensive meetings at the headquarters of the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education to discuss mechanisms for mutual recognition and academic twinning programs, as well as a meeting with the regional office of Elsevier to learn about scientific publishing technologies using artificial intelligence ($AI\ in\ Research$), A visit to the “Intilaq” Information Technology Company at Mansoura University to learn about models of digital transformation in universities and hospitals, implemented with great intelligence and professionalism.For his part, the University President expressed his pride in the leadership role played by the Undersecretary of the Ministry in managing this scientific initiative, emphasizing that Al-Mustaqbal University’s participation in this delegation embodies its commitment to improving institutional performance and strengthening its position as a center of cultural influence, thereby ensuring the precise implementation of joint research projects and elevating the university’s scientific representation in international forums.This visit is part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s efforts to support academic excellence and digital transformation programs, and to create a pioneering educational environment that contributes to improving global academic rankings and consolidating Iraq’s position as a key partner in the regional and international scientific research ecosystem.
