AL-Mustaqbal University Enhances Its International Presence Through a Joint Academic Workshop Supporting Sustainable Development Pathways As part of the activities of the Fourth AL-Mustaqbal International Week for Sustainability, AL-Mustaqbal University, in collaboration with the University of Mansoura, organized an international workshop entitled: “International Academic Partnerships as a Gateway to Achieving Sustainable Development: Leading University Experiences from Iraq and Egypt.” This event aligns with the university’s strategic direction to expand international academic cooperation and exchange scientific expertise in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 17, which emphasizes partnerships. The workshop was held under the patronage of the President of AL-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and the President of the University of Mansoura, Professor Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater, and was supervised by Professor Dr. Muthaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision at the university. It witnessed the participation of a distinguished group of academics from Iraq and Egypt. The sessions addressed several key themes, focusing on the role of academic partnerships in supporting scientific research and innovation, enhancing knowledge exchange among universities, and presenting leading experiences in the field of sustainability. The event featured a series of scientific presentations delivered by Professor Dr. Muthaffar Al-Zuhairi, Engineer Khalid Al-Salhi, Head of the Sustainability Unit at AL-Mustaqbal University, and Dr. Mohamed Osama Ragab from the University of Mansoura. The sessions were skillfully moderated by Professor Dr. Iman Abdulaziz. The workshop concluded with a set of recommendations emphasizing the importance of expanding joint academic cooperation programs, strengthening collaborative research projects between universities, promoting student and faculty exchange initiatives, and leveraging digital transformation to advance academic partnerships. Through such initiatives, AL-Mustaqbal University reaffirms its commitment to enhancing its international standing and reinforcing its active role in supporting sustainable development pathways through education and scientific collaboration.
