Under the patronage of Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Rodhan Salman, the Department of English at the College of Education, Al-Mustaqbal University, organized a scientific workshop titled “Cognitive Bio-Circuitry” on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, as part of the Fourth Sustainability Week. The workshop was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Tabarak Aqeel Dawood, with the participation of a number of students and faculty members, within the framework of supporting scientific activities aimed at developing psychological and cognitive awareness.
The workshop aimed to shed light on the concept of “cognitive bio-circuitry” by explaining the interactive relationship between thoughts, emotions, and physiological responses, and how these elements integrate to influence individual behavior and daily decision-making.
The session also included an explanation of the mechanisms of the conscious and unconscious mind, highlighting how unconscious processes contribute significantly to human behavior, which explains the repetition of certain behavioral and emotional patterns. It further addressed the connection between mind and body, illustrating how thoughts affect physical states and vice versa within a continuous cycle of mutual influence.
Additionally, the workshop presented practical applications to help individuals understand and consciously manage these circuits by modifying patterns of thinking, behavior, and physiological responses, thereby improving mental health and enhancing the ability to cope with daily stress.
The workshop concluded with an open discussion session that witnessed notable engagement from students and faculty members, who emphasized the importance of such topics in promoting psychological awareness and developing personal skills.
