Al-Mustaqbal University organized, on Saturday الموافق 18/4/2026, a scientific workshop titled “The Impact of Social Media on Mental Health,” presented by lecturer Aya Mohammed Hussein. The workshop was held for second-year students in the halls of the Humanities Building, with the attendance of a number of students and interested participants.
The workshop aimed to raise students’ awareness about the effects of social media on mental health, highlighting both the positive and negative aspects of using these platforms, as well as promoting healthy and balanced usage.
It included several important topics, such as the impact of excessive use on psychological well-being and its relation to anxiety and stress, in addition to providing practical tips and guidance to help students achieve a balance between digital and real life.
The workshop witnessed active engagement from students through questions and discussions, which enriched the session and enhanced its academic value.
This activity comes ضمن the university’s efforts to support educational and awareness initiatives and to build an academic environment that cares for both the psychological and intellectual development of students, contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3 related to good health and well-being.
