Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Education, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Roudhan Salman, the Department of English at the College of Education, Al-Mustaqbal University, organized a scientific workshop entitled “Her Voice Matters: Women, Identity, and Psychological Strength.” The workshop was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Tabarak Aqeel Dawood on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the Humanities Building, with the attendance of a distinguished group of faculty members and students.
The workshop was held in celebration of International Women’s Day and aimed to highlight the importance of women’s voices in shaping their identity and strengthening their presence in society, with a focus on the psychological dimension related to inner strength and the ability to face challenges.
Through an interactive and academic approach, the workshop addressed the topic of stereotypes and their impact on women’s self-perception and confidence in their abilities. The session witnessed active discussions among attendees, reflecting a growing awareness of the need to deconstruct these patterns. Inspiring examples of successful women in various fields were also presented, emphasizing that excellence is not limited by social or cultural constraints.
On the practical side, the workshop focused on the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behavior, as well as the importance of developing self-awareness as a fundamental step toward women’s psychological and societal empowerment. The workshop was marked by an engaging atmosphere and active participation, contributing to the achievement of its objectives.
The workshop concluded by emphasizing that women’s empowerment begins with self-belief, and that a woman’s voice represents a powerful force capable of creating positive change in society.
