The fourth event in the series of the "Sustainable Digital Transformation: Integration of Modern Communication Technologies, Computer Networks, and Embedded Systems“ at the College of Engineering and Technology at Al-Mustaqbal University, featuring a specialized scientific lecture titled ”Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Communications," on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. This event was organized with the aim of promoting the principles of environmental sustainability in the technology sector and developing the knowledge and skills of academic staff and students regarding mechanisms for rationalizing energy consumption, in line with the requirements of quality and excellence in adopting environmentally friendly solutions for the 2025-2026 academic year. The lecture, delivered by Dr. Noor Rahim Abdul Nabi, included a comprehensive explanation of the latest technologies used to reduce the carbon footprint of communication networks, with a focus on modern standards adopted in the design of low-power data transmission and reception systems, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and international quality standards. The scientific session featured extensive discussions on the role of engineers in innovating sustainable communication solutions that balance data transmission speed with resource efficiency, providing an opportunity to evaluate research insights and their role in addressing environmental challenges with intelligence and high professionalism, amidst a distinguished audience of professors and researchers. The Department Chair emphasized that this series of scientific activities contributes to improving institutional performance, fostering a culture of social and environmental responsibility, and ensuring the accuracy of implementation in technical projects, thereby supporting the achievement of the university’s strategic goals and elevating the faculty’s scientific representation in international forums.
