The Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs at the college, Assistant Professor Dr. Mitham Abdul Khadir Jabbar, published a scientific article entitled "The Role of the Hindiya Dam in Sustaining Agricultural Lands in Iraq," in which he explained the vital importance of the dam in regulating water resources and supporting the agricultural sector. It regulates the flow of the Euphrates River and distributes it to irrigation canals, which contributes to irrigating vast areas of agricultural land, especially in the central Euphrates regions, and enhances the stability of agricultural production. The article indicated that the Hindiya Dam is a fundamental pillar for achieving agricultural sustainability in Iraq, reducing water waste and ensuring the arrival of water to agricultural lands in times of need.
