The Women's Affairs Unit at the College of Engineering Technology, Mustaqbal University, organized a scientific awareness workshop titled "Environmental Energy and Investment Opportunities" on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. This initiative aligns with the National Strategy for Iraqi Women to promote economic empowerment and protection. Supervised by Ahd Hamid and conducted by Asst. Lect. Zahraa Salah Hadi from the Fuel and Energy Engineering Techniques Department, the workshop aimed to enhance female students' awareness of sustainable investment opportunities and protect them from poverty. The session included specialized lectures on addressing negative phenomena in the work environment with high professionalism. The discussions covered environmental energy concepts and essential occupational safety standards for engineering sites. The interactive atmosphere helped consolidate practical concepts among students, ensuring the preparation of conscious engineering personnel capable of managing environmental challenges with efficiency and responsibility. This event contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) and Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), striving to strengthen the role of women in scientific fields and establish professional values within the academic community.
