The College of Education, under the patronage of its Dean, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Roudhan Salman, organized an awareness workshop entitled “The Art of Balancing Roles – Women Between Self, Family, and Society.” The workshop was supervised by the Women’s Affairs Unit, represented by Professor Dr. Thanaa Bahaa Al-Din Abdullah, with participation from Prof. Dr. Thanaa Bahaa Al-Din and Assistant Lecturer Furqan Qasim from the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences.
The workshop was held on Sunday, April 5, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., in the Psychological Counseling Room at the college, with the attendance of a number of faculty members and administrative staff.
The session addressed the concept of true balance in a woman’s life by presenting both theoretical and practical perspectives on managing multiple roles. It highlighted key strategies such as setting priorities, delegation, establishing healthy boundaries, and flexible time management, while emphasizing the importance of self-care as a fundamental priority.
The workshop also discussed major challenges faced by women, including feelings of guilt, societal pressure, and exhaustion, offering practical solutions to achieve psychological and social balance, which positively reflects on both family and professional performance.
This activity comes as part of the implementation of the National Strategy to Combat Violence Against Women and Girls 2026, and contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, by promoting awareness and empowering women at both personal and societal levels.
