The College of Law at Al-Mustaqbal University held the activities of its Second Legal Conference on Sunday, April 12, 2026, under the title: “Digital Transformations and Technological Developments and Their Impact on Contemporary Legislative Policies,” and under the slogan: “Rule of Law and Achieving the Goals of Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions,” under the patronage of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.as part of the Fourth International Al-Mustaqbal Week for Sustainability. The conference witnessed wide participation from a distinguished group of academics and researchers. It was organized in cooperation with the College of Law at Mansoura University, with notable attendance from researchers representing various Iraqi public and private universities, as well as several Arab universities, giving the conference a distinguished international academic character. Professor Dr. Ammar Abbas Al-Husseini, respected, Dean of the College of Law, affirmed that the second edition of the conference kept pace with rapid digital developments. The submitted research covered various branches of law, including constitutional, criminal, administrative, public and private international, and commercial law, focusing on addressing legislative challenges resulting from digital transformation and attempting to bridge the legal gap in this vital field. Al-Husseini added that the conference produced a number of important recommendations aimed at developing existing legislation in line with modern technological advancements, contributing to supporting decision-makers and legislators in updating the legal system. The conference received wide praise from participating entities, including numerous academic, security, and official institutions, commending the conference’s distinguished scientific and organizational level and its role in enhancing legal dialogue and keeping pace with contemporary changes.
