Al-Mustaqbal University President Reviews the Start of Final Exams for the 2025–2026 Academic Year.

Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, announced the commencement of the first-round final examinations for the 2025–2026 academic year for both morning and evening studies. Early on Saturday morning, May 9, 2026, all colleges and academic departments began receiving students to sit for their examinations according to the approved schedules and regulations. As part of the university’s commitment to providing an ideal examination environment, the President conducted extensive inspection tours of the examination halls and committees across the university. He was accompanied by the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Abbas Al-Bawi, the Academic Scientific Supervisor, Mudaffar Al-Zuhairi, along with several college deans and supervisors overseeing the examination process. During the tour, the University President reviewed the examination questions and their alignment with the academic curricula, while also asking students about their needs and the logistical services provided in the examination halls. Hassan Shaker Majdi praised the significant efforts made by the examination committees and the academic and administrative staff in organizing and managing the examinations with accuracy and professionalism. The first day kicked off with an official reception by ALKU Rector, Prof. Dr. Kenan Ahmet Türkdoğan, who welcomed the AlMustaqbal delegation—including Dr. Amir Najah, Mr. Mustafa Hussein Mohammed, and Mr. Ali Mazher. The Documents and Graduates Division at Al-Mustaqbal University launched a statistical initiative on Monday, April 13, 2026, as part of the Sustainability Week activities held from April 12 to 16, 2026. The initiative featured the distribution of a comprehensive statistical booklet across the university campus, aimed at presenting accurate data on the number of graduates and their academic specializations. It sought to enhance the use of data in supporting academic planning and strengthening institutional awareness among students, staff, and visitors by providing key indicators on higher education outcomes and their alignment with labor market needs. The statistics revealed that graduates from medical and health-related fields accounted for approximately 44%, followed by engineering disciplines at 21%, law at 13%, and physical education and sports sciences at 6%, reflecting the diversity of academic programs offered by the university. The data also indicated a significant growth in the number of graduates over recent years, exceeding 5000%, driven by advancements in infrastructure, academic programs, and faculty development. The Division emphasized that this initiative contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), by providing reliable data to improve educational outcomes. Toward global academic horizons, the President of Al-Mustaqbal University joins a ministerial delegation on a tour of Egyptian universities

The President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, participated in a high-level ministerial delegation visiting the Arab Republic of Egypt, headed by the Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Scientific Research Affairs, Professor Dr. Haider Abdul Dhahad. The visit aimed to strengthen joint academic cooperation and activate scientific partnerships between the two countries. The tour focused on implementing memoranda of understanding and advancing scientific research. It included key meetings with Al-Azhar University to explore collaboration in academic and research fields and promote the exchange of expertise. The delegation also reviewed joint postgraduate programs with Mansoura University, highlighting the successful Master’s program in Law hosted at Al-Mustaqbal University as a pioneering example of Iraqi-Egyptian academic cooperation. Emphasis was placed on removing obstacles for researchers and expanding collaboration in emerging and specialized fields. Meetings were held at the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to discuss mutual recognition mechanisms, academic twinning programs, and initiatives to improve university rankings in global indexes. The delegation also met with Elsevier’s regional office to explore advanced AI-based scientific publishing technologies and ways to enhance the international visibility of Iraqi research. The Division of Documents, Certificates, and University Orders held an extensive workshop with the Department of Optical Technologies, as part of ongoing coordination efforts to ensure accuracy and efficiency in fulfilling graduation requirements. The workshop addressed the mechanism for issuing graduation orders for the first batch of first-round graduates, emphasizing the importance of following up on students’ summer training. It was stressed that students are not considered graduates unless they complete and provide proof of their summer training. Additionally, the process of verifying graduates’ names and matching them with the records in the Registration and Student Affairs databases was discussed, in preparation for submission to the Ministry. A specific timeline was agreed upon for completing all graduation procedures, in accordance with the official academic calendar. This initiative aims to ensure data accuracy and expedite the administrative process related to student graduation, safeguarding student rights while saving time and effort for all parties involved.
