Under the patronage of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and on the sidelines of the third edition of the Iraq Education Conference, the Ministry, in cooperation with the global analytics and research intelligence company Clarivate, held three specialized workshops from 25 to 27 October 2026 at Al-Naji University. Dr. Samir Badrawi, Director of the Cultural Relations Department at Al-Mustaqbal University, participated in the specialized workshop entitled “From Research Papers to Patents: An Innovation Roadmap for Universities.” The workshop aimed to foster an innovation-oriented mindset and establish a clear pathway for transforming scientific research outputs into patentable and commercially viable outcomes. This topic is of strategic importance in an increasingly competitive environment, as it focuses on developing innovative thinking, from idea generation to identifying the criteria that shape patentable research outcomes, and ultimately establishing a roadmap for the commercialization of intellectual property. Participation in these workshops represents a valuable opportunity to enhance the capabilities of university staff, exchange expertise with international specialists, and apply the outcomes to improve the research and institutional performance of Iraqi universities. These efforts align with the Ministry’s vision of advancing the quality of higher education, scientific research, and innovation. Al-Mustaqbal University’s participation in these workshops reflects its ongoing commitment to keeping pace with developments in global university rankings, strengthening its research and institutional capabilities, and benefiting from international expertise and established best practices to enhance the quality of higher education and further advance the University’s academic and research standing. #Al-Mustaqbal_University #Ranked_first_among_private_universities_in_Iraq #Goal_17_Partnerships_for_the_Goals
