Under the chairmanship of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Hassan Shaker Majdi, the second strategic meeting dedicated to developing the university’s future vision was held, attended by the Director of Scientific Supervision and Academic Affairs, Professor Mudhafar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, along with directors of research centers and scientific departments The meeting discussed several strategic themes aimed at enhancing innovation, entrepreneurship, and the transition toward the “productive university” model, in line with modern global trends in higher education and sustainable development During the meeting, the University President emphasized that contemporary universities are no longer limited to transferring knowledge alone, but are also required to produce and invest in knowledge in ways that support the national economy and achieve sustainable development. He noted that the success of this vision depends on the integration of roles among university leadership, faculty members, staff, and students within a clear institutional framework He also stressed the importance of supporting applied scientific research capable of providing practical solutions to societal and economic challenges, while strengthening cooperation and partnerships with industrial and service sectors through activating industrial advisory councils within colleges to enhance the alignment of educational outcomes with labor market needs The meeting concluded with the presentation of several developmental initiatives and proposals submitted by the directors of centers and scientific departments, aimed at strengthening the university’s academic and developmental standing.
