Al-Mustaqbal University reinforced its orientations toward expanding cooperation with the industrial sector through the attendance of the University President, Hassan Shaker Majdy, at part of the Industrial Advisory Council meeting of the College of Engineering Technologies, in the presence of the Director of Scientific Supervision and Academic Affairs, Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, and the Dean of the College, Azhar Mohsen Abd, along with a number of experts, representatives of industrial sectors, syndicates, and employers The meeting commenced with a welcoming speech delivered by the Dean of the College of Engineering Technologies, in which he emphasized the importance of the Industrial Advisory Council in strengthening communication between the college and the sectors of work and production, in a manner that contributes to updating academic programs and enhancing the efficiency of educational outcomes in line with labor market needs During the meeting, the University President stressed the importance of the Industrial Advisory Council as an effective platform linking the academic environment with the industrial sector, pointing to the university’s vision of transforming into a leading university in creativity and innovation capable of aligning its educational outputs with the requirements of modern development He explained that the areas of cooperation with the industrial sector include updating curricula, providing practical training opportunities for students within industrial institutions, in addition to supporting applied research and offering scientific and engineering consultations that contribute to addressing technical challenges and developing the work and production environment For his part, the Director of Scientific Supervision and Academic Affairs referred to the university’s orientations toward supporting innovation and entrepreneurship through the establishment of the Science and Technology Parks Department, noting that the council’s partners can contribute to adopting creative projects and transforming them into startups that help provide employment opportunities for graduates and reduce unemployment rates The meeting also witnessed the presentation of several proposals and interventions aimed at expanding areas of cooperation between the university and the industrial sector, while the University President presented a set of directives and remarks that would enhance the effectiveness of the council and support scientific and professional partnerships
