A developmental workshop entitled: “Developing Women’s Soft Communication Skills to Enhance Their Participation in Peace and Security.”

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, the Women’s Affairs Division, in cooperation with the College of Education at Al-Mustaqbal University, organized a developmental workshop entitled “Developing Women’s Soft Communication Skills to Enhance Their Participation in Peace and Security” on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at the Psychological Counseling Hall, with the participation of a number of female faculty members and administrative staff. The workshop was supervised by the Head of the Women’s Affairs Unit, Professor Dr. Thanaa Bahaa Al-Din Abdullah, and addressed a range of training topics aimed at developing women’s capacities in effective communication, negotiation, critical thinking, and crisis management, as well as organizational and planning skills, teamwork, decision-making, leadership, professional adaptability, and keeping pace with technological advancements in the workplace. The workshop also placed particular emphasis on soft communication skills, including effective communication, active listening, emotional intelligence, persuasion techniques, and relationship-building, highlighting their importance in strengthening women’s leadership capabilities, enhancing their participation in decision-making, and enabling them to effectively address various professional and social challenges. The session witnessed positive engagement from participants through discussions and the exchange of ideas, which contributed to enriching the practical aspects and achieving the intended training outcomes. This activity was implemented within the framework of the 2026 Executive Plan of the National Strategy to Combat Violence Against Women and Girls, specifically under the Prevention Pillar, and in accordance with Paragraph (2), which emphasizes the development of women’s soft skills to enhance their active participation in peacebuilding and decision-making processes. It also contributes to achieving Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) by promoting lifelong learning and skills development.
