The College of Health and Medical Technologies at Al-Mustaqbal University strengthened the alignment between educational outcomes and labor market needs during a meeting of its Industrial Advisory Council, held at the college in Babil Province on Monday, April 27, 2026. The meeting aimed to advance the educational process and foster effective partnerships with the labor and production sectors The session brought together the Dean, Dr. Zahraa Halim Al-Qayyim, the Scientific Assistant, Dr. Ahmed Al-Khafaji, department heads, and key stakeholders from the health sector. Attendees included a representative from the Babil Health Directorate, hospital directors from Babil and Najaf, as well as representatives of medical device companies and private pharmaceutical suppliers Discussions focused on updating curricula to keep pace with developments in health and laboratory technologies, strengthening students’ practical skills, aligning academic outputs with market demands, and expanding cooperation in training, capacity building, and knowledge exchange The meeting highlighted the importance of integrating theory with practice to prepare competent graduates who can adapt to scientific and technological advances and improve their employment prospects
