From April 19 to 23, 2026, Al-Mustaqbal University participated in the National Classical Poetry Competition in Dhi Qar, alongside 46 other Iraqi universities. During the event, one of the university’s students was honored with the "Poet of Innovation and Modernity" award for outstanding performance in poetry and public speaking. The competition focused on linguistic proficiency and the application of modern techniques within classical literature.
