Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Division at the university, an awareness activity was organized by Dr. Nazima Baha Tu’t, with the participation of students from the College of Pharmacy, on Sunday, March 9, 2026, under the title: “Together Against Extremism… Towards Conscious Thought and a Safe Society.” This activity falls within the framework of the third pillar and aims to promote a culture of moderation, reject extremist ideas, and reinforce the values of constructive dialogue and tolerance within the university environment. It reflects the pivotal role of academic institutions in raising awareness and intellectually safeguarding young people. The activity also highlights the importance of the academic woman’s role in leading intellectual and educational initiatives that contribute to preparing a well-educated and responsible generation, capable of addressing intellectual challenges with a balanced scientific and humanitarian approach. The event included awareness-oriented sessions that discussed the concept of extremism, its causes, and its impact on both individuals and society. It emphasized that knowledge and education are the most effective tools in confronting deviant, and that the university represents a safe environment that embraces diverse opinions within a framework of mutual respect and ethical values. This activity is part of a series of initiatives aimed at empowering students, enhancing their positive role in promoting a culture of moderation, strengthening national belonging, and building a society based on cooperation and peaceful coexistence. #Ranked_first_among_private_universities_in_Iraq #Goal 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions
