Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and as part of the cooperation between the Women’s Affairs Division and the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Engineering Technologies / Department of Medical Instrumentation Engineering, an educational awareness activity was organized under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Zahraa Issa Mohammed, with the participation of fourth-year students, on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. The activity was entitled: “Breast Cancer: Early Detection and Prevention Methods,” in alignment with the university’s commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being. The event included the distribution of an educational brochure that covered an overview of breast cancer, its causes, and associated risk factors, in addition to highlighting the importance of early detection and its role in increasing recovery rates. Furthermore, the activity addressed key preventive measures, including regular self-examinations, routine medical screenings, adopting a healthy lifestyle, and emphasizing the importance of psychological and social support for patients. This initiative aimed to raise health awareness among students and the university community, promote the culture of early detection, and encourage healthy behaviors, thereby contributing to reducing infection rates and improving treatment outcomes.
