Under the patronage of the Honorable President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the Women’s Affairs Division, in cooperation with the College of Health and Medical Technologies / Department of Cosmetology and Laser Technologies, organized an awareness workshop entitled: “Modern Parenting as an Approach to Sustainable Development.” The workshop was presented with the participation of Asst. Lect. Ola Salman Hamza and Asst. Lect. Saja Falah Hassan, within the Institutional Reform Axis – Participation Pillar, on Saturday, 4/1/2025. Paragraph (1): The workshop aimed to highlight the risks of domestic violence and its psychological and social impacts, enhance students’ awareness of the importance of self-protection, and clarify proper ways to deal with cases of violence within the family. In addition, it sought to promote a culture of respect and dialogue and contribute to building a safe and supportive family environment. The organization of this workshop aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly: • Goal 3: Good Health and Well-Being, by supporting mental health and reducing the negative effects of domestic violence. • Goal 5: Gender Equality, by empowering women and strengthening their role in confronting violence and protecting their rights within the family and society. This activity underscores the institution’s commitment to raising awareness and building a conscious generation capable of confronting negative phenomena, and to contributing to the achievement of a safe, violence-free university and community environment.
