Under the patronage of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and in cooperation with the Eurasian Universities Union (EURAS), Al-Mustaqbal University organized the EURAS Academy 2026 International Forum, which is being held for the first time in Iraq, with broad participation from academics and higher education leaders from inside and outside the country The opening ceremony was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Adnan Al-Jumaili, the President of EURAS Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydin, and the President of Al-Mustaqbal University Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, along with a number of university presidents, deans, and faculty members. The forum was organized and followed up with the direct contribution of the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Division The speakers emphasized the importance of the forum in supporting academic internationalization, strengthening scientific partnerships, and keeping pace with global developments in quality assurance, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and sustainability The forum is held under the theme “Quality, Sustainability, and Global Partnerships: Transforming Higher Education in the Middle East and North Africa”, and includes dialogue sessions addressing university governance, joint scientific research, and models of sustainable universities The President of Al-Mustaqbal University affirmed that organizing this forum reflects the university’s commitment—supported by the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Division—to strengthening its academic role and contributing to the development of the future of higher education in Iraq and the region
Under the gracious patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and in cooperation with the Eurasian Universities Union (EURAS), Al-Mustaqbal University is organizing the International Forum (Eurasia Academy – EURASIA ACADEMY), with broad international participation representing a number of Turkish, European, and Asian universities The forum is scheduled to commence at the campus of Al-Mustaqbal University on Thursday morning, 29 January 2026, at 9:00 a.m., as part of efforts to enhance international academic cooperation and to open new horizons for the exchange of scientific and academic expertise among participating universities and educational institutions. This forum reflects Al-Mustaqbal University’s orientation toward academic openness and the establishment of effective international scientific partnerships, contributing to the advancement of higher education and the support of scientific research pathway In this regard, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, affirmed that the forum represents an important milestone in strengthening scientific communication and consolidating academic relations with international universities and educational institutions
The Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Division at Al-Mustaqbal University participated in receiving a delegation from the United Company for Packaging and Pellet Manufacturing, headed by the Assistant Director, Mr. Mustafa Basheer. This visit came within the framework of activating the previously signed cooperation agreement and enhancing the partnership between the university and the industrial sector in line with labor market requirements The delegation was welcomed by Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and Professor Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, along with the Deans of the Colleges of Engineering and Engineering Technologies, and in the presence of Professor Dr. Iman Abdul Aziz, Director of the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Division During the meeting, prospects for joint cooperation were discussed, particularly in the areas of industrial consultancy offices, curriculum development, student training, and providing employment opportunities for graduates, in addition to supporting applied scientific research. The Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Division participated in Al-Mustaqbal University’s final preparations to host the EURAS Academy 2026 International Forum, during the extended coordination meeting chaired by the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi. The meeting was attended by the University’s assistants, the Director of the Diwan Affairs Department, the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, several deans and department heads, as well as staff from the Office of the University President and other university administrative offices During the meeting, the scientific agenda of the forum was reviewed, and the sessions and planned activities were discussed. In line with the directives of the President of the University of Al-Mustaqbal, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Division at the University of Al-Mustaqbal held a coordination meeting dedicated to liaison officers in the university’s colleges, under the supervision of the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Professor Dr. Muthaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi The meeting was managed and followed up by the Head of the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Division, Dr. Iman Abdul Aziz, and focused on strengthening coordination mechanisms between the division and the university’s colleges, updating databases of students, graduates, and postgraduate students, as well as developing training and qualification programs in line with labor market requirements The participants also discussed ways to align learning outcomes with the needs of the labor market and to expand partnerships with institutions and companies, contributing to the provision of high-quality training opportunities and sustainable employment prospects for university graduates This meeting comes within the framework of the pivotal role played by the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Division in supporting students and graduates, enhancing the practical aspect of the educational process, and reinforcing the position of the University of Al-Mustaqbal as an active academic institution serving the community and the labor market
As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance employment opportunities and strengthen cooperation with private sector institutions, the College of Engineering Technologies, with the participation of the Training, Employment, and Follow-up Division, organized job interviews for applicants applying for positions announced by Al-Muttaheda Packaging Company. This initiative comes ضمن the College’s efforts to support its graduates and prepare them for effective integration into the labor market The interviews were conducted under the direct supervision of the Dean of the College of Engineering Technologies, with the attendance of Dr. Iman Abdul Aziz, Head of the Training, Employment, and Follow-up Division, and with the participation of a specialized committee that evaluated applicants according to approved professional criteria. In line with the directives of Al-Mustaqbal University President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, to support students and develop the soft skills required in the job market, the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Division organized a specialized training workshop titled "Soft Skills - Effective Communication Skills." This workshop is part of a series of programs designed to enhance students' readiness and empower them professionally. The workshop was delivered by the internationally certified trainer, Dr. Mohammed Ziyad from SERA Company, who discussed methods of effective communication, persuasion skills, the art of active listening, and professional interaction techniques within workplace environments. The session also included practical exercises that enabled students to apply the concepts and strengthen their personal skills. At the beginning of the workshop, Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of soft skills as a fundamental pillar in shaping students' academic and professional personalities. He noted that possessing communication, teamwork, and leadership skills has become a key requirement for success across various sectors. He also commended the university units for providing high-quality training programs that align with labor market needs. The workshop concluded with the presentation of appreciation shields to the training team, acknowledging their cooperation and efforts in supporting the development of students' skills. The event witnessed strong participation from students across the university's colleges, with 100 male and female students attending from different disciplines-reflecting their keen interest in developing their personal and professional skills. Through such initiatives, Al-Mustaqbal University reaffirms its ongoing commitment to preparing students capable of competing in the job market by equipping them with the cognitive and soft skills required for modern careers across diverse sectors.
The Career Development Division at Al-Mustaqbal University participated in the “Sustainability Ambassadors” camp held at the Babylon Tourist Resort, in cooperation with the Babylon Provincial Council and with the involvement of several local and international entities concerned with sustainability and development. During the camp, Asst. Lect. Omaima Kadhim Al-Taee, Head of the Career Development Division, met with the German tourism delegation taking part in the event. She presented an overview of Al-Mustaqbal University and its academic programs, in addition to outlining the division’s efforts in supporting students and graduates, enhancing their competencies, and organizing training programs aligned with labor-market requirements. Al-Taee further discussed with the delegation potential avenues for future collaboration, particularly in the domains of sustainable tourism, professional training, and the exchange of expertise, in a manner that contributes to expanding opportunities available to the university’s students and alumni. The participation of the Career Development, Employment, and Follow-up Division in this camp reflects Al-Mustaqbal University’s strategic commitment to advancing sustainability initiatives and strengthening partnerships with local and international institutions, in line with its vision of empowering youth and fostering their professional development.
