Role of Career Development Division at Empowering Graduates and Achieving Job Opportunities

There is no doubt that the Division of Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-Up is deemed an essential pillar in supporting and qualifying University Graduates so as to meet all Labor Market Requirements, being actively implemented by organizing Specialized Training as well as Qualification Programs that would focus on promoting Personal and Professional Skills, in addition to building Strategic Partnerships with various Sectors, including Governmental and Non-Governmental Organizations, which play an effective role in the creation and diversification of Job Opportunities to Graduates, and thus expanding Employment Bases. Statistical Data indicate that the Department has succeeded in the achievement of a Positive & Effective Distribution to the Job Opportunities across these Sectors, as Graduates have been able to benefit from all Employment Opportunities that are available at Government Institutions, and Private Sector, as well as Non-Profit Organizations, in addition to providing other opportunities in the Fields of Self-Employment and Vocational Training. Such Process does reflect the Comprehensiveness and Flexibility of the Division Programs and their responsiveness to Labor Market Demands. Furthermore, the Division of Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-Up has paid high attention to People with Special needs, as it has worked on providing Fair Employment Opportunities to them, all along with Ongoing Career Guidance and Follow-Up Programs that would assist in achieving a good level of Economic and Social Empowerment to this group. These results however have reflected the Effectiveness of the Division Strategy in the establishment of an Integrated Employment System, in which aspects of Qualification, Empowerment, and Effective Communication with Employers have been uniquely combined, representing indeed an important step toward achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals in the Fields of Education & Decent Work.

Al-Mustaqbal University Leads Strategic Discussions with Eco Life that aim to building a Sustainability Culture

Part of its ongoing efforts to promoting a Sustainable Culture and opening new horizons for Students, Al-Mustaqbal University has been involved into Strategic Discussions with Eco Life being represented by the Company s CEO, Engineer Mr. Abdulrahman. During a Meeting convened on Friday, 28th March 2025 between Al-Mustaqbal University and Echo Life, all the discussions have aimed to integrate Sustainability Principles into the Educational Process, and thus providing real opportunities for University Students to get engaged in Sustainable Projects and Practices. Among the most prominent initiatives being discussed has been the launch of a Joint Podcast between Our University and Echo Life Company, mainly focusing on the Promotion of Sustainability Awareness by hosting Experts in the various fields, and thus covering the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Besides, Eco Life shall actively participate in the Exhibitions organized by Al-Mustaqbal University so as to display its compliant products, in addition to providing Distinguished Training and Employment Opportunities to University Students in the related fields. Awareness Sessions have also been taken into consideration regarding Sustainable Practices at Work, displaying Case Studies and Practical Examples taken from Leading Companies. We are obliged to note however that all initiatives have aimed to provide Students with Empirical Knowledge and Professional Opportunities that would keep pace with Labor Market Requirements, and in light of Major Transformations that the World is witnessing in the Fields of Sustainability & Technology. Through such cooperation, Al-Mustaqbal University has been reinforcing its commitment to preparing Students to become Leaders in the Field of Sustainability, and providing Educational and Employment Opportunities that would open up broad horizons for them in one of the most Advanced and In-Demand Industries in the World. Finally, we are obliged to note that this Collaboration comes as part of the University Strategic Program, which focuses on the Achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, specifically, SDG 4: Quality Education, and SDG 8: Decent Work & Economic Growth, where essential focus is placed on the provision of Educational and Employment Opportunities that would undoubtedly support our Students.

Green Employment: A Sustainable Future for Labor Market

In a world highly characterized with serious Environmental Challenges, Green Employment has become a central key for shaping Labor Market Future. In other words, Green Employment is no longer limited to reducing paper consumption or promoting digitization, but rather encompasses a Comprehensive Strategy aimed at integrating Sustainability Principles into all stages of the Hiring Process, and thus, strongly contributing in the creation of a balance between Economic Development and Environmental Protection. There is no doubt that Green Employment has been paving the way for a Sustainable Future, in which the Market is quite stabilized, and therefore, we could keep pace with the Developments of Our Modern Era. It has already become familiar that Green Recruitment is an Innovative Approach, which reflects a profound shift in our thinking about Human Resource Sustainability at Labor Market. We are focusing indeed on the development of Comprehensive Strategies that would play an essential role in the improvement of Institutional Performance over long-term periods, taking into account the Environmental, Social, and Economic impact of the Recruitment Practices. Besides, adoption of Green Recruitment shall lead to reducing Carbon Footprint, curbing Excessive Resource Consumption, and applying Simple Environmental Solutions, in addition to bringing Economic Benefits to Organizations since less paper and energy shall be consumed. We are obliged to note however that implementation of Green Employment requires a set of Effective Strategies that would contribute to reducing Environmental Impacts and promoting Sustainability Practices within Organizations. First of all, we should apply Digital Recruitment Processes, such as Conduct of Virtual Interviews, Use of Digital Files, as well as Reduction of Paper Consumption. All these shall definitely lead to a notable decrease in the Carbon Emissions. Moreover, digitizing Recruitment and Employment Process, such as using Applicant Tracking System (ATS), shall reduce the need for Paper Documents, and meanwhile improving Operational Efficiency. A system like the one stated above shall not only facilitate the hiring process, but also provide a friendly work environment that would undoubtedly promote Organizational Sustainability. Another important strategy is the adoption of Remote Work Policies. Teleworking indeed does not only reduce energy and paper consumption, but also contributes to minimizing the need for transportation, which significantly decreases Environmental Pollution. However, if we consider the role played by Al-Mustaqbal University in the Achievement of Green Employment, we may confirm the fact that Our University has been playing a pivotal role in preparing Students to enter Green Labor Market as they are highly qualified and equipped with the necessary Knowledge and Skills. Accordingly, Al-Mustaqbal University Students do already own the skills that are necessary to adapt to Sustainable Work Environments, being qualified through Partnerships with Companies and Institutions, and through Real Training and Employment Opportunities that are created for the University Graduates, all along

Al-Mustaqbal University President has a Meeting with the Minister of Youth & Sports so as to discuss Potentials of Joint Cooperation

Part of Al-Mustaqbal University Efforts that aim to Promoting Cooperation between Educational and Governmental Institutions in order to support Youth and develop their capabilities, Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, has had a Meeting with Dr. Ahmed Mohamed El-Mubarqa, Minister of Youth and Sports, and that was on Thursday, 20th March, 2025. During the Meeting, various prospects of cooperation between Al-Mustaqbal University and the Ministry of Youth & Sports have been discussed in Areas and Fields where support can be provided to Young People so as to develop their Skills in Sports and Education, and thus strengthening Partnership between the two Parties in the Service of Community. Both Parties have also discussed the possibility of organizing Joint Sports and Educational Events, in addition to launching Training Programs and Development Projects, which focus on promoting and empowering Youth Skills, keeping in mind the necessity to develop Human Resources and achieve Integration between Academic Education and Extracurricular Activities. All these shall lead to preparing Young People to become Future Leaders in the Various Fields. We are obliged to note that the University President has been accompanied on this Visit by Dr. Mazin Gzar, Director of Al-Mustaqbal Sports Club, as well as Mr. Nael Sarhan, Director of Sports & Youth at Babylon Governorate, along with a number of Academics from the College of Physical Education & Sports Sciences at Al-Mustaqbal University. For his part, the Minister of Youth & Sports has appreciated the Outstanding Status that Al-Mustaqbal University has managed to achieve, emphasizing its active role in supporting Sports, Youth, and Volunteer Work. Furthermore, he has stressed the vitality of such Cooperation in the Empowerment of Youth Role in Society. There is no doubt that the different types of cooperation between Al-Mustaqbal University and Ministry of Youth & Sports shall definitely lead to achieving Sustainable Development and enhancing Integration between Academic Education and Sports Activities, being in accordance with the University Vision and Mission that aim to building up a Promising Generation capable of meeting the Future Demands.

Al-Mustaqbal University Launches New Electronic Updates within a Workshop Organized by Technology Incubator Division

We would like to note that Technology Incubator Division at Al-Mustaqbal University has organized a Workshop, in which a Review has been conducted to the new improvements that have been added to the University Website. This Workshop has been attended by Rehabilitation, Employment & Follow-Up Division, with a number of Faculty Members, Students, and those interested in Technology as well as Employment. It is worth noting that the Workshop has aimed to focusing on those updates that would prmote the User Experiences, including a more Interactive Online Interface, highly improved Student Registration Systems, New Features that would facilitate access to Academic Materials and Services, in addition to improvements that would support Students through their Educational & Professional Journeys. The Technical Team that has been supervising the Website Development, being constituted of Dr. Hassanein Ya rub Mohammed, Mr. Mohammed Maytham Mohammed, and Mr. Wameed Dhia Shamsi, have submitted a Detailed Presentation on how to benefit from these features, offering Attendees the opportunity to experience the updates in action and raising any questions that might come to their minds. the Minister of Higher Education Honors the President and Members of Al-Mustaqbal University for Achieving First Place in the Iraqi National Ranking

In a significant event, His Excellency the Iraqi Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, honored Al-Mustaqbal University after it secured the top rank in the 2024 Iraqi University Ranking. This remarkable achievement reflects the university s commitment to academic excellence, innovation in education, and its active contribution to the development of higher education in Iraq. The Minister extended a letter of appreciation to the university s president, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, and all its members in recognition of their dedicated efforts in attaining this accomplishment. Al-Mustaqbal University Celebrates the International Women s Day by Honoring Distinguished Women

Part of celebrating the International Women s Day, Al-Mustaqbal University has organized a Ceremony in which a group of Creative & Distinguished Women have been honored in recognition of their contributions and efforts in various Academic, Professional, and Community fields. It is remarkable to note that the Celebration has been focusing on the vital role played by Women in the Promotion of Society. During the Ceremony, Rehabilitation, Employment, & Follow-Up Division has been honored for its effective contributions in support of Female Students and Graduates as being involved in Qualification, Training, and Employment Programs, and thus enhancing Females Opportunities at Labor Market. Besides, we are obliged to note that Inspiring Speeches have been delivered by Academics and Officials, in which Role of Women in the Fields of Research, Education, and Entrepreneurship has been widely discussed. Al-Mustaqbal University President Chairs a Preparatory Committee Meeting for Al-Mustaqbal Third International Week of Sustainability

It is considerable to note that Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University has chaired a Preparatory Committee Meeting for Al-Mustaqbal Third International Week of Sustainability that will be convened during the period 16th – 24th April 2025. The Meeting however has been attended by Prof Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific & Academic Supervision, as well as Assist Prof Dr. Tariq Al-Musawi, Director of Scientific Affairs & Research Department, and Dr. Samir Ibrahim, Director of Cultural & International Relations Department, in addition to Head of Rehabilitation, Employment, & Follow-Up Division, Head of Sustainable Development Division, and Heads of other related Units. During the Meeting, all preparations related to the Conference Activities have been widely discussed, including the Exhibitions and accompanying events that shall be convened on the sidelines of the Conference. Scientific as well as Cultural Program Details have also been taken into consideration, ensuring broad participation of both Local and International Experts & Specialists.
