Al-Mustaqbal University Shines Internationally at EURIE 2026 Summit in Istanbul: Academic Leadership and Global Partnerships In yet another achievement added to its distinguished track record, Al-Mustaqbal University illuminated the international scene with its prominent and official participation in the EURIE 2026 Eurasia Higher Education Summit, held in Istanbul, Turkey, from April 7 to 9, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The university was represented by the Dean of the College of Engineering Technology, leading the official delegation. Al-Mustaqbal University stood out in the official events by showcasing its advanced academic programs and achievements, opening channels of dialogue, and exploring opportunities for collaboration with elite universities and global educational institutions participating in the summit. This strengthened sustainable academic partnerships and fostered the exchange of expertise and knowledge. This participation comes as part of the university’s ambitious vision to expand into the international academic arena and solidify its position among pioneering universities through developing its scientific and research relations in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, thus elevating the quality of higher education. Al-Mustaqbal University Shines: 5th Book Fair Shapes Knowledge Generation

On Saturday, April 4, 2026, the 5th Annual Al-Mustaqbal University Book Fair was inaugurated in a vibrant cultural atmosphere and with wide academic attendance from faculty members and students, reaffirming its status as one of the most prominent cultural events among Iraqi universities in promoting reading culture and building an informed knowledge-based generation. The exhibition was held under the generous patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, under the slogan: “Our Book, Our Future,” with broad participation from local and international publishing houses as well as cultural figures and intellectuals. This event represents the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education), by enhancing reading culture, spreading knowledge, and supporting the educational environment within the academic community. The opening ceremony began with a speech delivered on behalf of the university presidency by Professor Dr. Abbas Abdul Ali Al-Bawi, Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, who emphasized the importance of the fair as a knowledge platform that supports scientific awareness and strengthens students’ connection with books. The fair features the participation of 25 publishing houses from various countries around the world, offering a diverse range of scientific and literary publications. The accompanying cultural program includes meetings with writers, poets, and intellectuals, in addition to theatrical performances and artistic activities. It also includes the distribution of free book vouchers to encourage students to read and engage with knowledge. The event is scheduled to continue for one full week, giving visitors the opportunity to explore the latest publications and participate in various cultural activities. This event aligns with the vision of Al-Mustaqbal University aimed at building an integrated academic and cultural environment that contributes to preparing an aware and educated generation capable of keeping pace with knowledge development and shaping the future. Invitation to Participate in the Fourth Al-Mustaqbal International Sustainability Week Under the patronage and attendance of the Presidency of Al-Mustaqbal University, and with the participation of the Vice Presidents, Deans, and faculty members, Al-Mustaqbal University has announced the organization of the Fourth Al-Mustaqbal International Sustainability Week, inviting all its staff and dear students to actively participate in this prominent scientific and cultural event, which will be held on campus. The activities of the week will commence on Saturday, April 11, 2026, and continue until Wednesday, April 15, 2026. The program includes a rich and diverse set of events such as scientific, cultural, social, and artistic exhibitions, in addition to sports activities, student project showcases, and specialized scientific conferences in the fields of management, media, law, and environment. This event aims to promote sustainability concepts within the university community, foster a spirit of cooperation and teamwork, support academic and cultural excellence, and encourage innovation and youth initiatives that contribute to building a brighter and more sustainable future. Exceptional Meeting Charts Academic Excellence and Envisions Paths of Institutional Leadership

Une réunion extraordinaire pour définir la feuille de route de l'excellence académique et envisager les perspectives de leadership institutionnel Le mercredi 1er avril 2026 à 10 heures, le professeur adjoint Dr Azhar Mohsen Abdel a tenu une réunion élargie avec les chefs de département, les responsables de cours, les enseignants, ainsi que les responsables des unités et des sections, dans la salle de conférence du bâtiment d'ingénierie, afin de discuter des principales actualités académiques et administratives. La réunion a été l'occasion de passer en revue les dernières évolutions et les équipements de pointe disponibles, ainsi que de discuter de la charge d'enseignement, des mécanismes de déroulement des cours et des programmes de rattrapage, afin de garantir la continuité du processus éducatif avec un maximum d'efficacité et d'efficience. Au cours de la réunion, M. le doyen a également souligné son engagement indéfectible à surmonter les défis auxquels est confronté le corps enseignant et à rechercher sans relâche des solutions exceptionnelles contribuant à optimiser le niveau de performance académique. Cette réunion s'inscrit dans le cadre d'une stratégie visant à développer le processus éducatif, à renforcer l'efficacité du fonctionnement institutionnel et à améliorer les normes de performance, en accord avec les objectifs de développement durable, et en particulier l'objectif n° 4 (une éducation de qualité), ainsi qu'à adopter des méthodologies de gestion modernes et non conventionnelles reflétant le statut de pionnier de la faculté.

The Woman Makes a Difference in Sustainable Environmental Awareness

Women and Environmental Awareness: A Pioneering Symposium to Promote Sustainable Development In an atmosphere of appreciation and inspiration, the College of Engineering Technology organized an exceptional scientific symposium in celebration of Mother’s Day. The event was held under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, attended and guided by Assistant Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, Dean of the College, and supervised by Lecturer Dr. Ahed Hameed Jihaz, Head of the Women’s Affairs Unit at the college. The symposium took place on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at 10:00 AM in the Central Student Activities Hall, Third Floor, Engineering Building, in collaboration with Al-Karkh University of Science / College of Remote Sensing and Geophysics. The symposium was titled “The Role of Women in Promoting Environmental Awareness and Sustainable Development.” Professor Dr. Amani Ibrahim Mohammed delivered a rich presentation detailing the dangers of plastics and their negative impacts on the environment and public health. She also highlighted the pioneering role of women in spreading environmental culture, encouraging society to adopt eco-friendly practices, and launching effective awareness initiatives that keep pace with contemporary challenges. The symposium’s objectives were not limited to raising awareness; it also focused on supporting the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically Goal 5 (Gender Equality), Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being), and Goal 13 (Climate Action). This was achieved by spreading environmental awareness and empowering women to be catalysts for positive social change. This event is considered one of the pioneering initiatives of Al-Mustaqbal University, which leads private universities in Iraq in supporting scientific and community activities and fostering an inspiring and conscious academic environment. The symposium witnessed remarkable engagement from faculty and interested students, reflecting a deep sense of belonging and a commitment to building a better future. At the conclusion of the symposium, the Dean honored Professor Dr. Amani Ibrahim Mohammed and several distinguished female faculty members in recognition of their outstanding roles and active contributions to the success of the event and the advancement of academic and community excellence.

The Engineering Technical College Holds a Training Workshop on Program Accreditation Requirements for Engineering Program

The Engineering Technical College held a training workshop on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at 10:00 AM, titled “Requirements for Obtaining Program Accreditation for Engineering Technology Programs in Iraqi Universities,” in the conference hall of the engineering building, in the presence of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abdul, heads of scientific departments, and members of quality assurance units. The workshop included a training lecture delivered by Professor Dr. Saad Mutasher Abbas, who reviewed the standards of program accreditation and the mechanisms for preparing its requirements. He addressed several key topics, including the concept and importance of program accreditation, approved standards, learning outcomes and methods of measuring them, as well as continuous evaluation and improvement mechanisms, documentation requirements, preparation of accreditation files, and the role of scientific departments in achieving quality standards. The workshop witnessed distinguished interaction from attendees through discussions and questions, contributing to enhancing the implementation of quality standards and academic accreditation, and improving the scientific level of engineering programs, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4: Quality Education. This workshop comes as part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s efforts—ranked first among private universities in Iraq—to support the quality of higher education and develop academic programs according to international standards. Al-Mustaqbal University President Strengthens Academic Partnership with Istanbul Aydın University in Turkey

The President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, strengthened scientific and cultural cooperation with Istanbul Aydın University during an official visit conducted on March 26, 2026, in Turkey. He was received by Professor Mustafa Aydın, Chairman of the Board of Trustees and President of the Eurasian Universities Union, within the framework of expanding international partnerships and opening new avenues that serve students and academic communities in both countries. The visit included a field tour of the university hospital at Istanbul Aydın University, where the delegation reviewed advanced technologies and capabilities in medical education and scientific research, reflecting the institution’s commitment to providing a modern and high-quality educational and healthcare environment. A formal dinner banquet was also held in honor of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, attended by prominent academic and official figures, including the Governor of Istanbul Airport and Professor Ibrahim Aydın, President of the University, along with several academic leaders. The event served as a platform to exchange perspectives on enhancing joint cooperation. Discussions focused on empowering youth through academic and research exchange programs, contributing to strengthening cultural communication, expanding knowledge horizons, encouraging innovation, and building a sustainable educational environment aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). Al-Mustaqbal University Conducts Job Interviews for Its Graduates in Engineering Specializations

Al-Mustaqbal University conducted job interviews for its graduates in several engineering specializations on Tuesday, March 25, 2026, at 10:00 AM, in the Activities Hall, in coordination with the Rehabilitation and Employment Division at the University Presidency, based on a previously announced job vacancy. The interviews were conducted under the direct supervision of the Dean of the Engineering Technical College, Prof. Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, and in the presence of a specialized academic committee. Graduates were received and interviewed وفق professional and academic standards aimed at selecting qualified candidates, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth). The interviews included graduates from the Computer Engineering Technologies and Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineering Technologies departments, where they were given the opportunity to present their academic skills and practical experience before the specialized committee, enhancing their chances of integration into the labor market. This step comes as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to support its graduates and prepare them professionally, as well as to strengthen cooperation with the labor market in a way that contributes to providing real job opportunities for Al-Mustaqbal University graduates.
