Al-Mustaqbal University has achieved a new academic milestone, adding to its record of continued success, following the announcement of the 2026 University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP). The university maintained its position as the top-ranked private university in Iraq for the third consecutive year, reaffirming its leadership in higher education and scientific research.
At the national level, Al-Mustaqbal University ranked third among all Iraqi public and private universities, behind only the University of Baghdad and the University of Technology, reflecting its sustained progress in academic and research performance and strengthening its position within Iraq’s higher education sector.
Internationally, the university recorded a remarkable achievement by advancing 294 positions in the global rankings compared with the previous year, highlighting the growing impact of its scientific output and the expanding influence of its research contributions worldwide.

The ranking is based on data sourced from Clarivate Analytics and evaluates universities according to several indicators, including the number of published research papers, citation impact, overall scientific productivity, and international research collaboration.
