About the Conference
The Third Scientific Conference of the College of Administrative Sciences at the University of the Future is devoted to examining poverty and sustainable development in Iraq, with particular emphasis on the economic and social costs of poverty and the policies and institutional responses required to address its consequences.
Poverty represents a multidimensional challenge that extends beyond income deprivation to include employment opportunities, access to essential services, social protection, human development, environmental sustainability, financial inclusion, and the quality of public institutions. Addressing poverty therefore requires an integrated approach that combines economic policies, effective public administration, sound accounting and financial systems, technological innovation, and sustainable development strategies.
The conference provides an academic and professional platform for researchers, academics, policymakers, practitioners, and specialists to exchange research findings and discuss innovative approaches to reducing poverty and strengthening sustainable development in Iraq.
Particular attention will be given to the role of artificial intelligence, digital transformation, economic diversification, renewable energy, financial technology, good governance, strategic human resource management, financial reform, taxation, and capital markets in addressing poverty and supporting inclusive and sustainable economic development.
The conference also seeks to strengthen academic cooperation among Iraqi and international universities and research institutions and to encourage interdisciplinary research capable of contributing to evidence-based policies and practical solutions to poverty-related challenges.
