As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the role of education in achieving sustainable development, Al-Mustaqbal University – Iraq is organizing the conference: The 2nd International Conference on Applications of Future Technologies for Sustainable Education, under the theme: " AI and Pathways for the Future of Sustainable Education", to be held from October 20 to 21, 2026, At Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University, Alanya city, Turkey. The conference aims to showcase the latest advancements in educational technologies, with a focus on digital innovation, artificial intelligence, and green education, and their impact on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). The event will host a distinguished group of researchers and academics from various Iraqi, Arab, and international universities, through specialized scientific sessions that explore technical, environmental, educational, and social aspects shaping the future of education.
Conference Objectives
1- To promote the integration of future technologies and artificial intelligence in developing sustainable education through the adoption of modern applications such as AI, virtual and augmented reality, data analytics, and the Internet of Things (IoT). 2- To embed artificial intelligence into educational curricula and policies, ensuring the development of interactive learning tools and intelligent assessment systems that contribute to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). 3- To encourage interdisciplinary research in the fields of artificial intelligence, green education, and digital technologies, focusing on their impact on improving the learning environment and enhancing the quality of higher education outcomes. 4- To leverage artificial intelligence in advancing lifelong learning and personalized education, by developing intelligent learning systems that support digital innovation and enhance learner engagement. 5- To develop curricula and academic practices that align with the digital revolution and strengthen the principle of “Education for Sustainability” across universities and higher education institutions. 6- To build effective international collaboration networks, by promoting research and technological partnerships between local and global universities and institutions in the fields of future technologies and smart education. 7- To empower people with disabilities by integrating them into sustainable educational systems using AI-driven assistive tools and advanced digital technologies. 8- To highlight the pivotal role of universities in leading the transformation toward a knowledge-based society and a sustainable innovation-driven economy, in line with Iraq’s Vision 2030 and the global sustainable development agenda.
