A Delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research Visits the Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications
As part of its ongoing efforts to monitor the implementation of strategic plans in the field of artificial intelligence and modern technologies, a delegation from the Department of Research and Development at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research conducted an official field visit today to the Future Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications at Al-Mustaqbal University. The visit aimed to evaluate the center’s readiness and its alignment with the ministry’s approved technical and administrative standards.

Dr. Abbas Al-Bawi, Vice President for Scientific Affairs
Prof. Dr. Nidhal Khudair, Director of the Center
In addition to the center’s technical and administrative staff.
The visiting delegation included:
Assistant Director General for Scientific Affairs, Department of Research and Development
Director of the Center for Research and Information Rehabilitation, University of Kufa
Representatives from the Entrepreneurial Projects Management Department, Department of Research and Development
The visit included a comprehensive tour of the center’s facilities, including scientific laboratories and research halls. The committee members were introduced to the advanced infrastructure, smart technologies, computing systems, and qualified human resources available at the center.
The ministry’s committee expressed their admiration for the remarkable level of development and preparedness achieved by Al-Mustaqbal University. They affirmed that the center stands as a promising model in the field of artificial intelligence and its research and academic applications, reflecting the university's forward-thinking vision in promoting digital innovation and enhancing the capabilities of students and researchers within a progressive national framework.
This visit comes as part of the Ministry’s broader initiative to support specialized research centers in artificial intelligence, recognizing their vital role in driving digital transformation and academic excellence in Iraq.
