Al-Mustaqbal University Reaffirms Its Commitment to Sustainability through Participation in the National Initiative "Youth and Sustainability… Towards a Greener Future"
As part of its ongoing dedication to empowering youth and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, several faculty members from Al-Mustaqbal University took part in the national initiative launched by the Supreme Council for Youth under the slogan "Youth and Sustainability… Towards a Greener Future", held under the patronage and presence of His Excellency Prime Minister Mr. Mohammed Shia’ Al Sudani.
This participation reflects the University’s strategic vision to strengthen its societal and developmental role, while actively engaging with national initiatives that aim to empower young people and promote environmental awareness. The initiative’s slogan clearly embodies the University's firm commitment to working with the younger generation in building a more sustainable future.
In his speech, the Prime Minister expressed full support for the initiative, commending the role of universities and youth in leading the shift toward sustainable development. He emphasized that investing in education and the environment is an investment in Iraq’s future.
Speaking to the media, Lecturer Tabarak Fadel stated that this initiative "marks a qualitative step in involving universities in shaping environmental policy," while Lecturer Zainab Kareem added: "We aim to transform academic ideas into practical projects that promote sustainability in society."
