On Wednesday, June 4, 2025, a comprehensive meeting was held in the Abdul Razzaq Al-Issa Hall at the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies, chaired by the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd. The meeting was attended by heads of departments, department coordinators, directors of divisions and units, the teaching staff, and staff from the Quality Assurance Division and the website team. The event marked the conclusion of the 2024–2025 academic year and served as an opportunity to review the college’s overall performance, evaluate the outcomes achieved during the academic year, and discuss key challenges faced, with the aim of building on successes and avoiding repeated shortcomings.
Discussions focused on several key areas, including indicators of annual performance evaluation in accordance with the standards of the Ministry of Higher Education, the developments in implementing the Bologna Process, the level of electronic publication on the official website, and the importance of enhancing digital content to be more interactive and representative of the college's activities. The meeting also included a review of achievement rates across all departments and the extent of their compliance with the requirements of the Quality Assurance Division, such as periodic reports, accreditation files, and achievement of performance indicators. Additionally, discrepancies between departments in their engagement with quality plans and institutional development were examined.
During the meeting, the Dean emphasized that evaluation is not an endpoint but rather a critical step in mapping a systematic development plan that includes continuous training, updated academic management approaches, and fostering a strong sense of teamwork within the university environment. He also stressed the importance of utilizing the collected feedback and suggestions as constructive input to develop academic programs and improve teaching and learning mechanisms, ensuring ongoing modernization and alignment with students’ needs and contemporary academic standards.
It was confirmed that the college's strategic direction aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, as a foundational element in empowering students, building their capacities, and achieving academic excellence. The Dean reiterated that individual successes must evolve into institutional achievements that elevate the status of both the college and the university.
