The College of Engineering Technology at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a workshop on Saturday, November 7, 2026, addressing the implementation of comprehensive quality standards and programmatic and academic accreditation. The workshop was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Hassan Hamad Ali, Director of the Quality Assurance Division, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, Dean of the College of Engineering Technology, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, and several members of the Central and Subcommittees of Quality Assurance in the scientific departments. The workshop was held in the Conference Hall of the Engineering Building. The workshop included a detailed presentation of the requirements for implementing comprehensive quality standards and the mechanisms for documenting academic and administrative procedures and institutional performance indicators. It also highlighted the importance of programmatic and academic accreditation and their role in ensuring the quality of educational outcomes and improving the services provided to students. Furthermore, the workshop addressed the responsibilities of the central and subcommittees in monitoring the implementation of quality requirements across the scientific departments. It emphasized the importance of teamwork and strengthening coordination and integration among various units and divisions to ensure compliance with approved quality standards and enhance institutional performance. The workshop also stressed the need to continuously develop the educational environment, update academic and administrative procedures, and establish a culture of continuous improvement and institutional excellence. These efforts contribute to preparing graduates equipped with the skills and competencies required by the labor market and the demands of scientific and technological advancement. This workshop is part of the College of Engineering Technology's ongoing efforts to strengthen its quality assurance and academic accreditation systems and contribute to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), through supporting educational quality and advancing academic and institutional performance. Al-Mustaqbal University is ranked first among private universities in Iraq.
