This year marked a significant academic achievement with the graduation of the first cohort of postgraduate (Master’s) students in Electronics Engineering from "Al-Mustaqbal University" in Iraq. The graduation took place in 2026 as part of the academic twinning program with Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), one of the world’s leading universities, within the framework of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s initiatives launched in 2023 to internationalize higher education. This milestone was the result of the Ministry’s strategy to advance education through international twinning programs, enabling students to obtain globally recognized degrees according to the latest academic standards, through joint cooperation between the two academic institutions, contributing to the transfer of expertise and the application of modern educational curricula. This graduation represents a qualitative leap in the reform of the higher education system, as it contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, especially Goal 4 (Quality Education) and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), by enhancing the quality of education and building effective international partnerships. Al-Mustaqbal University affirms its ongoing commitment to supporting academic openness and expanding international cooperation, thereby strengthening the competitiveness of graduates and raising the academic level to meet global standards.
