Al-Mustaqbal University Organizes a Humanitarian Visit to Al-Raja Institute on World Down Syndrome Day

On the occasion of World Down Syndrome Day, the Department of Anesthesia Techniques, in collaboration with the Special Needs Unit at Al-Mustaqbal University, organized a humanitarian visit to Al-Raja Institute for Special Needs Care in Babylon Governorate. The visit included the distribution of gifts, as well as interactive and recreational activities in which the children and youth of the institute participated, including face painting and celebrating the occasion in a positive atmosphere. The visit also aimed to enhance humanitarian and educational aspects, and to exchange experiences on effective and respectful ways of interacting with this group, contributing to their inclusion and strengthening their presence in society

Al-Mustaqbal University Celebrates the Recognition of Participants in the First International Scout Youth Forum

The activities of the First International Scout Youth Forum, organized by Al-Mustaqbal University, witnessed the recognition of Mr. Sajad Razzaq Al-Hilali, an employee of the Disability and Special Needs Unit, along with the students Banin Amjad and Ahmed Mohammed, by the delegation of the State of Kuwait. This recognition came in appreciation of their active participation and distinguished contributions to supporting scouting activities and promoting the inclusion of persons with disabilities and special needs across various events. In this context, Assistant Lecturer Ahmed Hassan Shaker, Director of the Central Student Activities Department at Al-Mustaqbal University, expressed his pride in this recognition, emphasizing that such participation reflects the university's ongoing efforts to consolidate the principles of social inclusion and to support the active presence of students with disabilities in various university activities.

Al-Mustaqbal University Organizes a Campaign to Promote Respectful and Positive Interaction with Persons with Disabilities

The Department of Student Activities / Unit of Special Needs at Al-Mustaqbal University organized an awareness campaign aimed at promoting a culture of respect and positive interaction with persons with disabilities within the university campus. The campaign sought to create an inclusive university environment that supports the integration of students with disabilities into various aspects of academic and social life. It also included the distribution of informational brochures to raise awareness and highlight the importance of supporting this group.

Al-Mustaqbal University Participates in the International Day of Persons with Disabilities Carnival in Baghdad

Al-Mustaqbal University, represented by the Department of Student Activities and Mr. Sajad Razzaq Al-Hilali, participated in the annual carnival marking the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, organized by the Iraqi Disability Association in Baghdad at Al-Alawiya Club, under the patronage of the Speaker of the Council of Representatives. The event was attended by representatives of several ministries and diplomatic missions, ambassadors from European and Gulf countries, the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI), and various international agencies, in addition to the wide participation of hundreds of persons with disabilities from different Iraqi governorates. The carnival featured an exhibition of products and creative works by persons with disabilities, along with theatrical performances, purposeful songs, and inspiring success stories of individuals who overcame disability and achieved notable accomplishments. The event also included the honoring of several supporting figures and the selection of the Disability Ambassador for 2024.

Al-Mustaqbal University Launches the First Al-Mustaqbal Festival for Persons with Disabilities under the slogan “I Can and You Can”

On the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Department of Student Activities / Special Needs Unit at Al-Mustaqbal University organized the First Annual Al-Mustaqbal Festival for Persons with Disabilities 2023, under the slogan "I Can and You Can.” The festival was attended by the university president, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and the assistant to the president for administrative affairs, Prof. Dr. Munther Fadel Hassan, along with a number of administrative and academic staff, university guests, and several cultural and artistic figures. The festival included a variety of activities, such as bazaars and art exhibitions, as well as presentations of inspiring success stories of persons with disabilities. It also featured initiatives and activities highlighting their creativity in the fields of arts, culture, sports, and innovation. The festival aimed to highlight the capabilities of persons with disabilities and promote their integration into society as an active element in development, as well as to support their participation and empowerment across various fields
