Towards a Sustainable University Environment: Awareness Brochure on the Occasion of the International Day of Tree Planting<br />Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies, Asst. Prof. Dr. Azher Mohsin Abd, the Quality Assurance and Academic Performance Division, in collaboration with the College of Agricultural Technologies, organized a special brochure on the occasion of the International Day of Tree Planting. In accordance with the Ministry’s directive regarding afforestation, the event was held on Wednesday, March 12, 2025.<br />Objective:<br />To highlight the importance of tree planting and its vital role in protecting the environment and promoting sustainable development.<br />The brochure included comprehensive information about the benefits of trees, as well as upcoming activities and events related to afforestation. This initiative is part of the ongoing efforts to achieve the 13th Sustainable Development Goal (Climate Action), during which a large number of plant seedlings were planted within the university campus to promote plant diversity, reduce the carbon footprint, and improve air quality.<br />The brochure was distributed among students and faculty members and received great appreciation from all. The College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies Holds a Meeting to Discuss Participation Plans in Sustainability Week and Review Academic Projects<br />A meeting was held today in the conference hall, chaired by the Dean of the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies, Assistant Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abdul, with the presence of department heads, department rapporteurs, scientific and student activity coordinators, and sustainability team leaders.<br /><br />The meeting discussed the university administration’s directives regarding the participation of departments in Sustainability Week. An Inspection Visit to Monitor the Joint Examinations at the College of Engineering and Engineering Techniques

On Thursday, April 20, 2025, joint exams were held for students of the Computer Engineering and Medical Devices Engineering departments at the College of Engineering Techniques. The exams were attended by Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Abbas Al-Bawi, along with the Dean of the College of Engineering and Engineering Techniques, Assistant Professor Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abdul. The visit was aimed at achieving the sustainable development goal, particularly Goal 4.<br />The purpose of the visit was to monitor the progress of the examination process and ensure that a suitable environment was provided for the students. Dr. Al-Bawi reviewed the exam implementation process and the students' adherence to the rules and regulations.
