Under the Guardianship of Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the Opening Ceremony of Babylon International Forum for Street Arts in its Fourth Session has been launched on Monday 4th March 2024, being organized by Al-Mustaqbal University, with the support of the Iraqi Artists Syndicate. The Forum comes as part of the University Strategic Program to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals. It should be noted that the Forum has been attended by Ambassador Mr. Ali Mahdi, the Secretary General of the International Theater Authority, with a group of Official Figures. The Forum Opening Ceremony has started with a Speech delivered by Assist Prof Dr. Abbas Al-Bawi, the President Assistant for Scientific Affairs, in which he has welcomed attendees as well as the Guests who have been representing Arab & Foreign Countries. The Forum however has included a wide range of participations, including Art Performances, International Seminars, and Books Signing. One of the interesting activities has been the Giant Puppet conducted by a Tunisian Team, in addition to the Egyptian Clown Show, a Panel submitted by Ishtar Band, a Performance given by the Artist Ayyad Bin Maaqil, and an Egyptian Folklore Show. We are obliged to note as well that Students of Fine Arts College at Al-Mustaqbal University has also participated in different activities under the Supervision of Prof Dr. Huda Hashim, Dean of the College, adding their wonderful artistic touches to the Forum. As a matter of fact, The Presentations have varied according to the Program prepared by the Forum Supreme Committee, and as its Chairman, Prof. Dr. Amir Sabah Al-Marzouq has declared that participations of this year are broader, with activities that have been selected to suit the nature of the University Atmosphere, emphasizing, meanwhile, the importance of such Forums that aim to enhance Cross-Fertilization Culture among Countries. Finally, we should note that the Forum will continue until Tuesday, 5th March 2024, where more activities shall be conducted by International Teams.
