The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has granted institutional accreditation to several Iraqi universities, including Al-Mustansiriya, Anbar, Karbala, Al-Muthanna, and Al-Mustaqbal, after they met the necessary criteria. These criteria include the educational institution's strategies, governance and administration, financial and material resources, faculty members, students, research, community service, and academic curricula.
Commenting on the decision, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, emphasized the ministry's commitment to enhancing academic quality and aligning with global trends in education, praising the universities for their dedication to meeting the requirements for institutional accreditation. Meanwhile, the presidents of the concerned universities expressed their appreciation for the ministry's focus on improving the quality of education and institutional performance in line with the goals of sustainable development.
Al-Mustaqbal University is the first in Iraq.
