In implementation to the Directives of Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University that aim to opening horizons of Scientific and Cultural Cooperation with International as well as Local Universities, being in line with the Policy of the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research that focus on strengthening International Partnerships in a way that would achieve the desired benefit, a Closed Electronic Meeting has been convened between Al-Mustaqbal University and Alexandria University / Arab Republic of Egypt for the purpose of activating the Memorandum of Understanding that has been concluded earlier between the two Universities.
It should be noted that the Meeting has been attended by Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, as well as Prof Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific & Academic Supervision, and a number of Concerned Department Heads, whereas Prof Dr. Samih Shihta, Director of International Relations has been representing Alexandria University.
It is worth noting that Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi has focused in His Speech on the importance of this Meeting, hoping that the Memorandum of Understanding that has been concluded between the Two Universities shall be activated, especially with the availability of many common areas of interest, from which they might start the implementation process, adding that Al-Mustaqbal University is really so proud of such partnership with a Distinguished University that has a long history full of achievements.
In another part of His Speech, he has referred to the deep relations between Iraq and Egypt, clarifying that Al-Mustaqbal University embraces indeed many Egyptian Professors and Experts in its various Colleges and Departments, and this however can be exploited in the promotion of permanent communication between the Two Universities. His Excellency has also emphasized that achievement of International Partnerships is one of the University Goals that has been set as a priority, being in harmony with the issue of Internationalization of Higher Education in Iraq.
For his part, Prof Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, has submitted an overview regarding the University, its Formations, as well as its Scientific and Academic Achievements, including Scientific Research, Global Rankings, Academic Programs and Initiatives adopted by the University. Besides, he has referred to the International Partnerships that Al-Mustaqbal University has accomplished, whether with Universities and Academic Institutions or with Organizations and Unions.
As for Prof Dr. Samih Shihta, being the Representative of Alexandria University, has highly appreciate the achievements that have been accomplished by Al-Mustaqbal University even though it is considered one of the Young Universities in Iraq, especially at Scientific & Academic Fields, Diversity of Study Programs, as well as availability of Infrastructure and Human Resources, which might clearly represent the University Rational Management. Meanwhile, Prof Dr. Samih Shihta has expressed full readiness of Alexandria University to start activating the Memorandum of Understanding through permanent coordination on certain joint issues that would be implemented according to scheduled priorities.
Finally, we are obliged to note that earlier last month, a Memorandum of Scientific & Cultural Understanding was signed between Al-Mustaqbal University and Alexandria University that has included many issues, most notably of which are Joint Scientific Research, Participation at Scientific Conferences and Workshops, Exchange of Visits, Benefit of Successful Experiences in the Field of Sustainable Development Goals, Student Activities, Students Training as well as Administrative and Technical Staff, all along with the Exchange of Electronic Programs.
