The Translation Unit at Al-Mustaqbal University College and in coordination with the Students Activities Division has organized a workshop celebrating the English Language Day.
All the world indeed celebrates the English Language Day every year on 23rd April as English is considered the most widely spread language in the world, in addition to being one of the six official languages in the United Nations.
It is considerable to note that during the workshop a lecture has been given by Mr Abid Ali D. Jasim, Head of the Translation Unit, in which he clarified the importance of learning at least a second language.
However, this activity comes as part of the College trend towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically SDG 04: Quality Education.
