" Business Process Management (BPM) "

They are systems that aim to improve work procedures from beginning to end. And that is by analyzing the activities of each procedural process and linking them to each other to reach its goals
Improvement processes always start with a study of the current situation, after which work is done to implement the proposed improvements. And that is by developing new scenarios for the process, monitoring and continuing to improve it.
So we can say it's (BPM) : It is a science based on procedural processes that have inputs and outputs through which it seeks to reconcile the objectives of the strategic enterprise and the client. (whether the client is an internal employee, for example, or an external client requesting a service)
We can say that the business process management course is as follows
Design: It is the drawing and modeling of the procedural process by the logical analysis of the process. Using various modeling and design tools (it will be mentioned later in upcoming lessons, God willing). When drawing the design and after the analysis, and if you want the design of your procedural model to be effective and powerful, the following points must be clarified (note that some of them can sometimes be dispensed with according to the nature of the procedure and the process itself)
Defining the procedure, its purpose, and encoding it (encoding is the process of putting numbers and letters to indicate the procedural process)
Establishing procedure paths and appointing those concerned with this procedure based on the administrative structure down to the departments and individuals
Alerts and notifications (notifying or alerting individuals or departments in the facility to a specific process)Escalation used in cases of delays or penalties)
Questionnaire on the level of the procedural process (in case the procedure serves internal or external clients)
- The expected time to implement each process within the procedure (to study the time of executing the procedural process as a whole)
The financial cost of executing each process within the procedure (to study the cost of implementing the procedural process as a whole)
Simulation: There are many programs that perform simulations. For the above design model of the procedural process and through simulation you can study the time, cost and quality. For each procedural process, you can also create different scenarios for a single procedure and compare its outputs.
Implementation: After design and simulation, the role of implementing the procedural process comes as agreed upon in the design and simulation processes by the concerned authorities and in cooperation with individuals in the facility.
Monitoring: Upon implementation, the role of monitoring the implementation of the process (the procedure) and ensuring that it is running properly
Improvement: There are often some differences between simulation and actual implementation, and here comes the role of continuous improvement at the core of the process.
Through the foregoing, we say that the benefits of managing business operations are many and important for every facility that wants to develop itself to keep pace with the aspirations of customers and to be able to achieve its strategic goals, and the most important of these benefits
General documentation of procedures
Here we mean by placing manuals or a general operational manual (for the facility, department, department, or even the individual) documented and circulated through which the individual can learn and understand his tasks, work and ways of operating the procedures without referring to anyone and wasting time and effort
Continuous quality improvement of procedures
When monitoring and as mentioned above, the procedure evolves, it may improve or it may get worse. It is possible that yesterday’s procedures, when the facility was small, differ today when the facility is larger, so the role of quality and continuous improvement comes to it
Study the cost and time for each procedure
Every procedure has a time and every process within the procedure has a time that may be in seconds or minutes, but it is linked to a cost that may be a monthly salary or it may be rent for a place.
(In the video above, a simplified and illustrative explanation of the process of studying cost over time)
Creating processes for new facilities, departments and sections
When creating a department within a facility, there must be operational foundations for it to be established by setting general policies and procedures for it so that the new department is not without tasks or goals related to the facility and its objectives
Transparency and administrative integrity
We always see in government agencies a board written on it attach such and such and fill in the form number so and so to obtain the license, for example. This is what is called transparency. The customer provides what is required of him according to the advertisement. By announcing your actions taken in each process to all target customers.
digital transformation
One of the most important elements of the transition from the paper environment to the electronic environment is the process of procedural analysis of transactions.
There are many other benefits of these operations that are actually clear upon implementation and after that, they differ from one facility to another, according to the activity of the facility itself. Factories and restaurants differ in their operations and procedures from administrative establishments such as municipalities and universities, so you find here and there different benefits, so we say that the important thing here is that it reflects positively on the customer and the final product.
